You Can. We Can.

High River Can

Real leadership. Fresh perspective. Built on lived experience and a deep love for this town.

What I Stand For

  • A woman in a wheelchair smiling and talking on her phone, parked outdoors near a brick building. The poster advocates for communication and transparency in town projects, featuring text and logos promoting Candisse McCormick for Town Council.

    Clear. Honest. Accessible.

You deserve to know what’s happening—and to feel heard every step of the way.

  • Townhouses with beige, gray, and pink siding, white picket fences, lawns, and leafless trees in front.

Everyone should be able to live here.

Let’s create smart housing options for seniors, families, and people with disabilities.

  • A sidewalk in a small town with shops, outdoor seating, bicycles, parked cars, leafless trees, and a sign that reads 'Evelyn's OPEN' on a sunny day.

Local business is the heart of High River.

I’ll champion policies that make it easier to start, grow, and keep small businesses here.

  • People shopping at an outdoor farmers market on a paved street, with stalls selling produce, and colorful buildings in the background.

Growth doesn’t have to mean losing our small town feel.

I believe we can grow without giving up what makes High River special.

  • Poster advocating for accessibility features, showing a woman in a motorized wheelchair smiling outside. Text emphasizes independence, dignity, and inclusion.

    Everyone deserves access.

Accessibility makes life better for all of us—from power doors and curb ramps to inclusive spaces that welcome everyone.

Why I’m Running

I’m running for Town Council because I love this town — and I believe we can grow in a way that keeps the best parts of what make High River feel like home.

As someone who grew up here, built a business here, and has experienced both the opportunities and the barriers that exist in our community, I want to be part of the conversations shaping our future — not just for today, but for the next generation too.

From smart growth that still protects our small-town charm, to housing that’s both affordable and accessible, to supporting the small businesses that bring heart to our local economy — I’m stepping forward because I care, and because I know firsthand that change is possible when you speak up and stay rooted in community.
